This is show #109, Blues For A Cure Christmas!

Hey welcome back, my friends! This is your Brutha Dave (Dave Harrison) once again bringing the best of the
holiday blues to you from the
Star City of Virginia ….

We started off the show with The Sean Carney Band playing “Santa’s Blues” off of the great CD called
Sean Carney’s Blues for a Cure Christmas and considering the time of year that it is, there’s no doubt
this is a perfect time for my traditional hoiday show!

Since I’m now such a big fan and supporter of Sean’s Blues For A Cure program, we’ starting off the first
set with
The Delta Sheiks, “Santa’s Messin’ With The Kid”; Alberta Adams, “Merry Xmas Baby”; and
Steve Gerard and the Mississippi Debonaires, with “Every Day Is Xmas”. All of the great songs are
found on
Sean Carney’s Blues for a Cure Christmas!

We’ve got a special treat on our second set! We’ll be hearing three songs from another great CD that’s
proceeds go to programs to help cure cancer. We’ll hear
Davina and The Vagabonds, “Please Come
Home For Xmas”;
The Matt O’Ree Band, “Let It Snow”; and another tune by Davina and The Vagabonds,
“Sleigh Bells”. These tunes are just a small sample of the great tunes on
A Christmas To Cure Cancer 5.

We follow up these great two sets with a real good variety of holiday tunes! Our third set is Dr. Duke Tumatoe
with his humorous tune, “She Gives Me The Blues For Christmas”;

then Mikey Junior plays us his rendition
of “Silent Night”;

then we hear “Xmas Holidays” by Texas Pete Mayes and his Houserockers Blues Band.

Our fourth set continues to stuff our stockings with songs like Nasty Ned’s “Love Together Merrily”;

and Jay Gaunt’s rendition of “Greensleeves”,

followed up by Big Dog Mercer with his sad song “Stone Cold Christmas”.

We finish up our show with Lawrence Lebo cranking out a great tune called “(I’m Your) Christmas
Present, Baby” ;

and the great Roomful of Blues with their booty shakin’ tune “Run Rudolph Run”.
