This is show #111, More New Blues For A New Year!
Hey, welcome back
everyone and welcome to another BluzNdaBlood Show! This is your
Brutha
Dave Harrison coming to you once again from the very cold studio in
the Star City of Virginia!
Well after the last show, I felt really
guilty with all of the tunes that I couldn’t include in the show,
so I thought what the heck! Let’s make our show #111 “More New Blues
for a New Year!” This is
pretty spooky, but this is show one one one and posted on January 1,
2011. So that’s one one one
one…. That’s a lot of ones!
J
We started off our show with the great
Duke Robillard playing his “Girl Let Me
Tell Ya” off of his
new Blue Duchess Records CD called
Passport to the Blues.
I had the great opportunity to see
him live last month at the
Blues For a Cure charity event
that I went to. He was super!

So who else is on my list of new blues to play
on today’s show? Well I have 14 great tunes on
the show and four will be instrumentals! Our first instrumental in
the first set will be
Delta Groove Music’s
The Mannish Boys with “The Bullet”,
followed up by
Eden Brent singing
“Someone To Love” from her
Yellow Dog Records release,
Ain’t Got No Troubles..
We’ll end
things up with
Magic Slim and The Teardrops with their
brand new tune called “Shame”.

The second set is a great one!
Albert Castiglia sings about his
“Sweet Southern Angel” off of his latest
Blues Leaf Records CD, Keepin On.
Following Albert,
Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters
have us grooving to their instrumental tune called
“Backstroke” that’s on their latest
Stony Plain Records CD, Spread The
Love.
Kenny Neal lays down the bayou
blues beat wrapping up the second set with his “Voodoo Mama”
tune from his latest
Blind Pig Record CD called Hooked
On Your Love.

Our third full set is also a great
one! We’ve got the latest from
Boo Boo Davis! He treats us to his
best turkey gobble as he sings his “Turkey Walk” from his
Black & Tan Records CD, Undercover
Blues.
Deak Harp follows Boo Boo with his
tune “Old Soul” from his Gateway to the Blues CD.
John Nemeth gets the final song
off of this set with “Heartbreak With A Hammer” from his
latest
Stony Plain Records CD, Name The
Day.

Rickey Godfrey is back on the show
again with his humorous tune called “When You’re Cool (The
Sun Shines All The Time) of his Serenity Hill CD, Nasty Man.
Following Rickey is the Doctor of the Blues
Marshall Lawrence with “Going Down
To Louisiana” from his latest CD, Blues Intervention.
Wrapping up the fourth set is the very talented R&B singer
and guitarist
Tutu Jones with “Weekend Driver”
found on his
Soul Tone Records CD, Inside Out.
