Show #119, Simi Valley Cajun And Blues Festival!

*Hey*! Welcome back, my friends! It's time once again for another BluzNdaBlood Show! This is your Brutha Dave coming at ya once again from the blues filled studio in the Star City of Virginia!

This show is gonna be another great one! This show is going to be a sneak preview of many of the artists that will be appearing on the "Delta Groove All Star Blues Revue" blues stage at the 22nd Annual Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Festival that's happening Memorial Day weekend this year!

Well, we started off the show with "Blowin' Like Hell" from The 44's, a great band from Southern California! They'll start things off on Saturday, May 28th, at 11:00 am.



So who else are we gonna hear from on my "Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Festival Preview!" show Other than The 44's? How about Los Fabulocos featuring Kid Ramos, Mikey Junior and Stone Cold Blues, Kirk Fletcher, Ana Popovic, The Mannish Boys, Tracy Nelson, John Nemeth, Mitch Kashmar, Arthur Adams, Elvin Bishop, and wrapping up with two tunes by Maria Muldaur!

So…. Are you ready ready to hear some great Blues coming to the Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Festival? Well, I hope so! Crank it up my friends, we’re off and running!
What a great first set to start off our show! That first tune off that set was Los Fabulocos featuring Kid Ramos with "The Vibe". They should be on the stage at 12:00 pm. Mikey Junior and Stone Cold Blues will be jumping on the stage at 1:15 pm Saturday and you're treated to their tune "Cheapskate" from their brand new CD, It Ain't Hard To Tell! Kirk Fletcher finishes up this set with his "El Medio Stomp" from his Eclecto Groove CD, "My Turn". He hits the stage at 2:25 pm! Up next at 3:40 pm on the stage is Ana Popovic!

Ana Popovic blisters the stage at 3:40 pm, and treats us to "Putting Out the APB" from her Blind For Love CD. Following Ana at 5:05 PM, is The Mannish Boys Revue with Tracy Nelson, Rusty Zinn, Lynwood Slim, The King Brothers, Bob Corritore, Peter Dammann, and more! We hear a little sample from The Mannish Boys on the show with "Way Down South" off their 5 Year Anniversary CD, Shake For Me! Finishing up this set is Tracy Nelson singing "Victim Of The Blues" from her brand new CD of the same name!

Our next set started off with the tune "Who's The Fool" from John Nemeth which is a part of Elvin Bishop's CD, "The Blues Rolls On" and John will wind up our first night of the festival when he hits the stage at 7:00 pm. The fun starts again Sunday May 29th at 11:00 with Cadillac Zack. Mitch Kashmar starts blowing his harp at 12:00 pm and may play "100 Miles To Go" from his CD of the same name. Arthur Adams finishes up this set with his tune "Don't Let The Door Hit You" from his CD, "Stomp The Floor". He's on the blues stage at 1:15 pm.

Next up in the last and final set is Elvin Bishop with the song, "Yonder's Wall" off his "The Blues Rolls On" CD. Following Elvin and wrapping up this show and the festival is Maria Muldaur with 2 songs, "Blues So Bad" and "He Don't Have The Blues Anymore" off of her CD, Meet Me Where They Play The Blues.
