Well, hello there! It's time once again for another BluzNdaBlood Show! This is your  Brutha Dave Harrison coming at ya once again back in the blues filled studio in the Star City of Virginia!

I've got another great show for you! After returning from my Simi Valley trip, I was listening to all kinds of great boogie woogie tunes, boogie grooves, and Shazam! Here's Show #122, "Hand Picked Boogies!"

Well, we started off the show with The Lionel Young Band, the winner of this year's Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge in the band competition! It's "Blues and Boogie Woogie" time!

So who else are we gonna hear from on my "Hand Picked Boogies" show? How about The R&B Bombers, Watermelon Slim & The Workers, Cash Box Kings, Victor Wainright & The Wildroots, Deanna Bogart/Dan Leonard/Scott Ambush/Mike Aubin, The Mannish Boys, Albert Ammons, the Various Artists on The Blues For A Cure Studio Jam Volume 3, The 44's, The Hollywood Blue Flames, Lee Pons, and wrapping up the show with Brandon Santini!

So…. Are you ready ready to hear some of my "Hand Picked Boogies"? Well, I hope so! Crank it up my friends, we’re off and running!

Okay, that first full set was a great set of boogie tunes, wasn't it? We started off with The R&B Bombers playing "Ken's Boogie" followed by Bill Homans a.k.a. Watermelon Slim and The Workers playing "Gearzy's Boogie". The Cash Box Kings wrap up that first set  with that toe-tapping tune, "Quesadilla Boogie"...

The second great set continues with some great tunes that keep that heart rate up there! We started with a brand new tune from a brand new CD from Victor Wainwright & The Wildroots, "Honky Tonk Heaven". After Victor, Deanna Bogart, Dan Leonard, Scott Ambush, and Mike Aubin cranked out "Heart 'n Soul" followed by those great Mannish Boys giving us some "Lonesome Bedroom Blues"...

Our next set starts off with legendary boogie woogie king Albert Ammons playing "Pinetop's Blues". Following Albert is one of my favorite songs off of Sean Carney's Blues For A Cure Studio Jam Volume 3, "Alligator Boogaloo". Here's more info about this GREAT CD that goes for a great cause!

Last up in this set are The 44's playing their title track, "Boogie Disease"! Great boogie tune!

Our last set of music is a great way to wrap up a great boogie show! It's The Hollywood Fats Band cut, "Shake Your Boogie" that started it off! The great boogiemaster Lee Pons cranks out "BoogieRobics" for us off his new CD! Thanks, Lee for sending me a copy of it! Wrapping up the show again is Brandon Santini playing his great song, "I Wanna Boogie With You"....

Well, I hope you've enjoyed show #122, "Hand Picked Boogies!"...

Special thanks as always goes to my friend and incredible artist, Michael Allen Engstrom, from The Crossroads Blues Gallery for letting me use his great artwork for my shows!
